Propertylook Review

2 minute read

This site somewhat scares me a little, it has a number of real estate agents that are major shareholders and charges high listings fees that continue to rise with silly things like images. Some recent Commercial sources have indicated that they have changed their pricing structure, but I cannot see this anywhere on their website and repeated calls have gone unanswered. So I will say this without reservation.

If you are not one of the many shareholders of this site then my advice would be to stay away at all costs, it makes no sense at all to list on this site unless they review their pricing structure which is just way too high.

I cannot understand any agent that competes with these companies listing here, what they are simply doing is lining the pockets of their competitors and making their website stronger so in effect their competitors can charge them more. Unlike all other major portals which simply charge a per month fee, Propertylook generally charges a per property fee, starting at well over $200.00 per listing and this is without images!

Another thing agents do, is put the Propertylook website on their signage further promoting the site.

The more agents that list on this site, the stronger it will become – until maybe it becomes too late and fees will then hike to well over $500.00 per listing.

I worked out that if you wanted full features with your properties and you listed over 200 per annum it would cost well over $30,000 p.a, imagine what you could do with your own website with this sort of investment!

Summing Up:
If you are not one of the many shareholders of this site then my advice would be to stay away at all costs, it makes no sense at all to list on this site unless they review their pricing structure which is just way too high. The only listings you should be placing on this site are the ones your vendors demand and the more popular this site gets the more they are going to demand to be listed here.
